Actually worse today and am off work... which was a training day in Workington. Not sure going to work tomorrow is on the cards because I am, as I said, even worse today.

I tested for Covid, and it still came up negative.

Coverage of the queue and of people paying their respects to the Queen have been non-stop, of course, on TV. We've been watching it.

We'll also be watching tomorrow, the coverage of the funeral. It's a bank holiday for the nation. Most everything will be closed. It's expected to be one of, if not the most, watched television events in history.

Really incredible scenes in London with people queueing for nearly 24 hour periods to pay their respects to the Queen lying in state.

Watching on TV after a long day at work... the Queen's coffin is about to be flown out of Edinburgh to London.

Scotland has done a tremendous job in the last few days, as the coffin was carried up the Royal Mile to St. Giles Cathedral where she was visited by thousands.

The Queen's coffin is travelling today from the Ballroom at Balmoral to the Throne Room at Hollyroodhouse Palace. It's coincidentally two places we visited earlier this year... in April and in August.

Sadly, one of our guinea pigs, Robbie, was found dead this morning in the little shelter down in the run on the grass. Looks like he died very peacefully.

Robbie was the one that escaped a long time ago and we had a hard time getting him near the stone wall way in the back of the yard. That was a long time ago.

Watching coverage of the events on TV... Charles was at St. James Palace today amongst the heads of parliament and all the former Prime Ministers. It's a sad time as the Queen has died, obviously, but it's a strange and happy time at the ascent of a new monarch. Long live the King.

We were very saddened by the news that came, at 6:30pm yesterday, of the Queen's death. She had a life of duty and service to this country that was unsurpassed. A very sad, historical event... but inevitable.
